We are quick to forget where we came from, to forget our
roots. We love the novel and the modern. It is a sad
tendency because it shrinks our world. We no longer see that
as the people of God we are part of something so much bigger
than ourselves and than our times.
We don't want to live in the past, but be informed by the
past. After the preaching of the word of God, we believe
that the singing of hymns may be one of the best ways to
follow in the footsteps of the faithful - those who have
loved the One True God through the years. The presentation
of the gospel of Christ in these songs is rich, poetic, and
timeless.
Though we are more committed to the message of the hymns
than the arrangements (they are in some ways novel and
modern), it is our hope that the way they are played makes
them more accessible and singable to the Church.
Steve Malone
"When this poor lisping, stammering tongue lies silent in
the grave then in a nobler, sweeter song, I'll sing Thy
power to save."

Rating: 5 Review By: Bradley I must first tell you that I
am a student @ Auburn
University so this review is
a little biased. This CD is
great if you are looking for
a style of music you can
easily sing along with. It
may not be the best RUF CD
ever made, but it is
definitely one of the best. I
still listen to it regularly
after 2 years. Anyone who
likes old hymns to new music
will love this CD.
I would also like to plug our
new CD that will be available
Sept. 2001. If you liked our
fist, I promise that this CD
will not disappoint your
expectations. Visit

details. Rating: 5 Review By: scott Well I'm not from Auburn,
and I love it! I'm in Enid,
America doing UPT a long way
away, but a friend gave me
this CD. Thanks much for
the music, but more for your
desire to worship in spirit
and in truth. Truly lacking
in 'this present evil
world', even among His
children. Soli deo gloria,
