Bluegrass, rock, world, and pop styles make up this unique
yet refreshing album, Tending Both Sides. In an effort to
simply make good and enjoyable music that conveys Truth
and inspires thought, Ethereal teamed up with some friends
to ensure that those things would be true of their second
full length project. In a day when Truth is underrated and
independent music seldom heard, Ethereal hopes this
project will be an authentic source to obtain both. Our Comment

Rating: 5 Review By: keely This is a WONDERFUL
cd....from the opening
seconds til the end. Soulful
and passionate- a gorgeous
expression of praise. Rating: 5 Review By: Josh This is powerful music
created by great musicians
who have a unique and
original sound. Their
lyrics are full of rich
theological truth, and
combinding that with the
bands musical abilities
keeps them playing in my
house all the time ... Rating: 2 Review By: I love Ethereal, but this
album is mainly a recreation
of their first album, which in
my opinion, is stellar, and
should have remained
untouched. I believe they were
trying to make the songs sound
more full, more professional,
but now it sounds like a 2nd
rate pop album. I wish
Ethereal remained true to its
raw sound that originally set
them apart. I was disappointed
to only get a few new songs on
the purchase too. I do not
mean to be negative, because
Changed the Same is one of my
favorite albums of all time -
& I'm simply offering my
opinion on Tending Both Sides.
It's the simple arrangements
that do not distract from the
powerful God-centered message
of Ethereal that I love. Rating: 4 Review By: I am a follower of Ethereal,
from the "early days" and I
absolutely love their sound!
I too wish there had been
more new songs, but love the
new CD just the same! For the
newbies, who don't own the
first cd ~ you will be
wanting more after you listen
to Tending Both Sides! Rating: 5 Review By: michelle this is a tremendous CD --
loved it from start to finish! Rating: 5 Review By: Nancy Love this album! From the
first strains of haunting
violin to the jungle drums
in "The Places We'll Go"
every song surprises and
delights. Connie Skellie
could sing "Happy Birthday"
and I could listen to her all
day, not to mention her truly
unique violin riffs. Great
vocals throughout--different
on each song, from Stokes
Skellie's pure tones in two
songs that are pure
worship, "We Will Sing,"
and "Great is the Lord" to
Corey Nolen's earthy "Coming
Round," and throughout you
get Ethereal's signature blow-
you-away harmonies. Ethereal
makes great music, and for
people like me who want
meaty, meaningful lyrics, you
definitely get your money's
worth there too. These songs
are written and sung by
wonderful musicians whose
passion is the gospel--you
don't want to miss this CD.
p.s. check out their website
for the meaning of the album
title--it's worth the read. Rating: 5 Review By: Dan Presley I can't get enough of this
awesome CD. It's one of the
most unique CD's, I have
ever heard. Every song on
here is wonderful and
awesome. Hope this one does
very well. |
